Will you be granted a Visitor's Visa even if you're not invited by your love-ones you wish to see in States?

My wife left me in the year 1990 and got married to an American guy in 1995. She took with her our 2 kids and now I missed them so much that I wished and really wanted to see and visit them, if I could? Please share with me your similar experience? or advice? or US Embassy Requirements for a Visitor's Visa? or Visa Interview experience? Please?

The Answer : You can still go even if you're not invited by your loved ones (or ex loved ones) if you can show the US consul officers that:- You have strong ties to your country that will make you want to go back after your visit in the USA. What they want to be sure of is that you will not stay in the US and that you will go back to your country.

It can be your family, steady job, school or some other compelling reasons why you will go back. - You have sufficient funds to support your stay in the US.

They want to see proof in terms of your bank account, assets such as land or houses, and other financial proof that you will not be a burden to the US government while you are in the US.Having kids in the US, and given your circumstance, may be seen by the consul as compelling evidence that you want to stay in the US so you can be with your kids. You need to convince them that all you want is the chance to see your kids, not stay with them in the US, if you are applying for a tourist visa.
